An excerpt from ‘The Conversation’ for the Canadian Ocean Literacy Coalition
Me finding my poem on the 5th floor.
In the fall one of my pieces was selected for Marie Metaphor Specht's 'Public Poetry Remix.' The project is an installation produced with Monkey-C Interactive and transforms the staircase into a five-storey-tall musical instrument. Visitors can touch the sensors embedded in the railings to create sounds and play loops accompanied by sound-responsive.
The musical staircase was one of my favourite installations when I moved to Victoria for university, so I’m thrilled to be a part of the rejuvenation project.

For Vancouver Pride I was given the opportunity to share some of my work for a public art installation. An excerpt from my poem ‘Pride’ was cut out in multicoloured translucent letters and suspended above Robson Square, projecting the piece onto the pavement below.
